By "this same problem" do you mean the specific error message in this bug report, namely: > | install -m 0644 /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nvidia.ko > /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/debian/nvidia-kernel-2.6.29-2-amd64/lib/modules/2.6.29-2-amd64/nvidia/nvidia.ko > ; \ > | > | install: cannot stat `/usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel/nvidia.ko': No such > file or directory > I can't figure out the instructions and suggestions in this bug report, > so I just ran a plain m-a on it, and it died (in exactly the same way as > when I built it directly using debian/rules modules). Attached is the > module-assistant log file. The instructions in the bug report are to run: m-a clean nvidia before attempting a build. You need to always do this in module-assistant whenever there's a new version of the source package. This is more a module-assistant problem than a problem with any specific source package. It affects all kernel module source packages occasionally. Your log file wasn't attached, so I can't double-check what error that you're getting. -- Russ Allbery (r...@debian.org) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
