Looks like some image data goes missing at some point, shifting the rest of the image data (think RGB ...). > Secondly, scanning typically takes a few minutes, even if done at low > resolution. However, the very slow scan looks very suspicious. Given that the plustek backend hasn't seen any new development for some time now, it's doubtful that it's a bug in the backend. There are some simple steps you can perform to troubleshoot the issue: - if your setup involves a USB hub between the scanner and the host, get rid of the hub - check that the scanner is plugged into a USB 2.0 port; the scanner being plugged into a 1.0/1.1 port could explain the slow scans - if the scanner doesn't have its own power supply (meaning it's powered by the USB bus), try removing all the other USB devices (except keyboard/mouse) to ensure it's not a power supply issue. If the scanner has a port for an external power supply, you can try that, too - try another, known-good, USB 2.0 cable - if all else fails, try to find a Windows machine to which you can hook the scanner up and try it out.
