Using iniparse is not that simple -- see my bug closing and then reopening.
Oh, didn’t catch that. I though there was compatibility code for
configparser drop-in replacement.
Also, upstream is not doing any work on 1.7 anymore, unless serious bugs pop
up. Thus, forwarding the bug upstream doesn't make much sense.
Indeed. Didn’t know there was a newer release.
I prefer keeping a patch in the Debian package (and will work on that as soon
as I get some spare time), and then port it to the new 2.0 code, when it'll be
released.
Or make a request that upstream switches to iniparse or any other
configparser alternative that preserves order.
