Dear Cyril,
I've installed linux-image-2.6.32-2-686 from sid, upgraded libdrm2 and
libdrm-intel1 packages, but unfortunately nothing changed. When I start X,
the whole machine stops responding.
Regards,
Kojedzinszky Richard

I have a similar problem. In a fresh debian testing install I've
install xserver-xorg-core. After it, I've rebooted, and very early
the monitor has gone blank. Some activity was seen on the hard disk,
but once it stopped, the whole machine stopped responding. Even to
power button, or network. Then I've set modeset=0 in the module's
options. With this, the computer boots up, but when I start x, as #
X the machine crashes. In the mid Jan of 2010 it did work, but I
dont know when I have upgraded my system before.
My comp. is a Fujitsu Amilo M7405.
Please check with at least the following components from sid:
- kernel (no more a -trunk one)
- libdrm
Mraw,
KiBi.
