Package: svn-buildpackage Severity: wishlist
svn-buildpackage should display some actually useful information when running into "E: Could not find the origDir directory, please check the settings!". I just spent about three hours trying to find a missing "-1" from my package's version because svn-bp failed with that error message, but didn't give me ANY clue about was could be wrong. svn-bp should AT LEAST print the path it is looking for when giving that error, because if that had contained the wrong version, I might have noticed earlier. Additionally, some kind of heuristic to check the version in case this error happens would be nice, as I don't think this situation is uncommon. :) Thanks, Michael -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
