Ah! I should have thought of this. Well, technically icedove isn't a browser, though it has some browser-like capabilities. After disabling firetray (which I forgot I had installed because of the disappearance of traybiff support for icedove 3.0) the problem went away. Since this is not in Debian, I'll pursue it with upstream.

Do you see crashes with any other software than browsers?

I tried with other software and was unable to make anything else crash. As for Chrome, I'm still waiting for Chromium to enter Debian. Once it does, if I can still reproduce the issue, I'll file a bug. Otherwise, I don't consider it worth my time.

In any case, it seems to me you should now close this bug.

Thanks,
Ben
