I just installed Liferea and my first guess was that the Mozilla backend would be better than the gtkhtml one, but it seems not to be the case. When running with the Mozilla backend Liferea fails to display any text; images are shown alright, but there is no text in the articles. After uninstalling that backend and installing the gtkhtml one, it's back to normal. Note that I'm using Mozilla as a backend for Epiphany without any apparent problems. I also followed the suggestion from bug #313329, as I'm getting the same dbus error, but that doesn't seem to have any effect on Mozilla. I'll post more information as a reply to that report. The only funny thing I see in Liferea's output when run with the Mozilla backend and not with the gtkhtml one is: (liferea-bin:28680): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_property_get(): length value has wrapped in calculation (did you pass G_MAXLONG?) Although that doesn't seem to break other applications, maybe it does matter in this case? Let me know if I can help diagnose this further. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-ck3 Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages liferea-mozilla depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.1-2 GCC support library ii libgconf2-4 2.10.1-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.8-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii liborbit2 1:2.12.2-2 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.6-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libxml2 2.6.20-1 GNOME XML library ii liferea 0.9.4-1 feed aggregator for GNOME ii mozilla-browser 2:1.7.8-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-1 compression library - runtime liferea-mozilla recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFC74+G823633cP2P8RAqZNAJ9oJjj7xdnnvKPXb6afd0oB9IVCTgCcCBTA qobreJjIbnflPHL/i5tyuXg= =wP0t -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
