I've often contemplated the idea of accepting signed emails in addition to subscribers as a potential compromise for situations like this, but haven't personally ever gotten around to trying to configure a list that way. Like Russ, the package-related mailing lists I run currently just force moderation for non-subscribers, and I've found it pretty easy to deal with. Bdale
