  Sorry, but I've installed Acrobat 9 and that menu you mention doesn't
  exist. I've also looked at the Preferences pages and cannot found any
  setting for sending mail.

  Yes there *are*, but your "acrobat" is probably not using them. Maybe it's
  an old version which expects some other configuration. In any case it's
  neither a Claws Mail problem nor a Debian problem.

  As said the bug (if exists) is in Acrobat, which is in the acroread
  package. Neither Claws Mail nor Debian can change that, because is an
  Adobe proprietary product, so I guess you better contact Adobe. You can
  start at their support page for Acrobat Reader:
