I'm a bit worried that we remove (popular) software from testing instead of fixing the underlying problem. Javier, why was that problem not dealt with? Do you have troubles maintaining snort? If yes, maybe orphan it so that someone with more time can maintain it... or at least ask for help. But the current result seems sub-optimal and I'm not convinced that removing the software is the best approach here.
