Hi Helge, I do not really understand why it is a po4a bug.
If the bug is that a docbook manpage was generated by docbook-to-man with a SYNOPSIS section, the issue is probably in the docbook-to-man package. It looks to me that docbook-to-man does not support a language argument, and I'm not sure it would use any language specification from the XML file. You can try changing locally /usr/share/sgml/transpec/docbook-to-man.ts to check if this SYNOPSIS is coming from this file. Note that docbook can probably support translation of such generated strings.
