Fair enough. I was amazed, that's a fact. What caused it perhaps then was not genious but your persistence.
It's nice to get some feedback from somebody, though. So far, neither of the Debian package maintainers has responded.
Not sure which package maintainers you are referring to, but I stepped up joining the ghostscript maintainance team approx. a year ago and have done most work on the package since then, so if ghostscript maintainers ought to have responded earlier, then I am one of those to blame. :-/

I agree with you that irrelevant-for-the-public stuff should be kept off list, but encouragements are not one of those things that I find should be kept discrete. And neither taking responsibility for not giving them in due time.
