I've tested it with iceweasel and epiphany-browser. If the file is sent as application/msword, then it opens fine in openoffice.org. Packages also involved with mime types: shared-mime-info libgnomevfs2-common Mime types as application/x-ole-storage worked find with openoffice in debian etch. This is a new problem in debian lenny. To duplicate the problem: * Open up a webmail-based email in Iceweasel. * Find an email with an Word Document attachment that has mimetype set to application/x-ole-storage * When you try to open the file openoffice.org is not an option.
