Hi,

It seems that the hugs package is no longer built (commented out in
debian/control), yet the build dependency is still there. It should
probably be removed if it is no longer needed (builds fine without it).

Context: hugs is broken on armel on Ubuntu and seems to FTBFS anyway.
This makes the build-deps uninstallable on that arch and therefore
hdbc-odbc cannot be built.

Hi Iain,

Does the package FTBFS on Debian? If not, then this bug has no business
being important or listed with a "fails to build from source" justification.

My hope is to make HDBC work with Hugs again, which I'll be attempting
when I make the next release. You are right though; if I can't achieve
that, I shouldn't build-dep on it.

You are right; I was somewhat hasty here. I have no direct access to armel hardware to corroborate my claim that hugs ftbfs there, and furthermore it has built in the past so there are at least binary packages which you depend on. I'm adjusting the severity.

I don't mean to be pushy if that is how it is coming across. My apologies for that.

(regardless, the hugs library is arch:all so this dep could well go in b-d-i - and then we wouldn't have this problem at all ;)

Iain
