retitle 551406 gpointing-device-settings: no way to enable/disable tapping thanks
The upstream synaptics driver now defaults to tapping off. This is fine since with gsynaptics (GUI) or synclient, you can turn it back on: synclient TapButton1=1 TapButton2=3 TapButton3=2 This assigns 1-finger tap to the left mouse button, 2-finger tap to the right mouse button and 3-finger tap to the middle mouse button, which is often emulated by pressing both left and right mouse buttons at the same time. Unfortunately gpointing-device-settings does not have a way to turn on tapping, which is a fairly big regression from gsynaptics. -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
