Are you sure about this?  4.999.9beta+20091002-1 was uploaded to experimental 
about a week and a half ago, so I think it should have reached you.

If all goes as planned, it will be a couple of weeks before XZ Utils is part
of unstable.  This is because of packaging issues rather than the stability of
the upstream package.  (We cannot provide an xz-lzma conflicting with the
current lzma package, since the latter is essential; the fix is to update dpkg
to use liblzma so lzma is no longer required.)  If it is useful, I can’t see
much wrong with enabling support for lzma in fusecompress for experimental,
though I’m not sure how much that would help people.
