Hi Rene, My desktop environment is usually KDE and now is KDE 4.3.1, AFAIK any other KDE application is doing fine its job: no (long) latency between launching it and seeing it appear on the screen. Really, I was surprised by that just because it was the first time I have seen it behaving in that way. I understand that this can be a misconfiguration. I have tried with a fresh user and it behaves weird. Inside LXDE, kover is slow to start up, in a KDE it's just normal. If none else is able to reproduce this "bug", it should be considered just my problem. Sorry in this case for the report.
