My tests. # mplayer -stop-xscreensaver myvideo.avi does inhibit the gnome screensaver *as long as* the cursor is inside the MPlayer window. It also works fine in fullscreen mode If I omit -stop-xscreensaver , then the screensaver starts in due time. If you add '-msglevel vo=9' it will print "Warping cursor to disable gnome-screensaver." whenever XWarpPointer is called. But remember that the call is ineffective when the cursor is outside the MPlayer window ... of course, it would be a VERY bad idea to move around the cursor when it is in another window (e.g. the user may end up clicking the wrong button). a. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkq1KTwACgkQ9B/tjjP8QKT1MgCeP/vOK9zc7iIESuIqztAJsTpp 95gAnAoEg0iJyqmyCFvy+TLKhp+1NId7 =tY/e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
