Package: vorbis-tools Version: 1.2.0-6 Since some time now I've noticed very odd CPU usage when playing Vorbis files with ogg123, more precisely that its CPU bandwidth consumption can vary a lot between different invocations.
Here are 3 consecutive timings I've done playing the same 44.1 KHz stereo Vorbis file: 13.568u 56.511s 3:21.36 34.7% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w 7.204u 21.321s 3:21.24 14.1% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w 3.932u 2.972s 3:21.22 3.4% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w So it's a real waste of CPU bandwidth in certain cases... That doesn't seem to happen with mono files though.
