Hm, for that to work, I suspect nslcd need to start in rcS.d/, or NFS
mounting need to move to runlevels 2-5 where it belong (but will not
happen any time soon).  One should really avoid starting daemons in
rcS.d/, so it is not a good solution.

I believe it is the wrong solution.  $named is DNS resolver, as far as
I know.  And I do not believe there are that many packages that need
to start after nslcd, and suspect the current list is close to
complete.  At least there are not many listing dependencies on ypbind
and nis in the archive, and I expect those to depend on nslcd too.

What is the problem of depending on both?
