Thanks for the patch. I've applied it to my development tree and it will be in the next release. There are probably plenty of other services missing though. One known problem is nfsv4 (see #500778). The X-Start-Before line is getting pretty long already. An alternative would be (I think) to provide $named. nss-ldapd can be used to provide hostname resolution (but it depends on the configuration in /etc/nsswitch.conf). What do you think? One possible problem here is that nss-ldapd should be started after slapd is started if it uses a local slapd and after networking is up if using a remote LDAP server. -- -- arthur - adej...@debian.org - http://people.debian.org/~adejong --
