Hello all, I'm getting the same problem with rhythmbox that Drag is getting. I made a video of a session showing when it does work as advertised and also when it doesn't.
It seems if you set the audio from the mixer you'll get the sound diminishing each time unless you're set at 100%. If you set the sound from rhythmbox, it seems to stick.
