Even if the feature is rarely needed, I think that adding a Lintian tag for a feature that has a valid purpose and telling people to override if they really want to use the feature is a bad design. I realize that we're doing that now with setuid programs, but I think that's a special case due to the security implications. I'm very reluctant to add something else like that.
