Package: lintian Version: 2.2.5 Severity: wishlist The dependency of libfoo-dev should be versioned on libfooX. The symbolic link /usr/lib/libfoo.so -> libfoo.so.X.Y.Z will break otherwise.
Lintian could check for the dependency libfooX (= ${binary:Version})
in the control file
