Hi, IMHO mark_old=no is just asking for the new behavior. Unset it and mutt won't show new mail in the box you've just left. Maybe the "bug" here is just that 'O'ld and 'N'ew mail should look the same in the index if the user doesn't like to see different flags. Could be configurable just as $to_chars is.
