Package: libchipcard-tools
Version: 4.1.3-2

I have gnucash installed, and thus also libchipcard-tools (although I
don't need it). This problem is addressed in an other bug.

Now I don't really mind extra software on my system, as long as it
doesn't hurt performance. This means that they should be moved to swap
when memory is full, and never come out of it. This is only possible if
the software doesn't run.

However, looking at my processes, libchipcardd4 is not only continuously
running (meaning it will never go into the swap for long), it even uses
about 5% of my cpu capacity. This is quite something for software I
don't use.

I didn't check the source, but I would expect a deamon to have a main
loop with a select or poll call without a timeout, which simply waits
forever until it is awoken by an event (in this case, connecting a
chipcard reader or things happening to a connected reader). This is
appearantly not how chipcardd4 works.

Obviously I can uninstall the package, which is what I will do. That
doesn't make it less buggy, of course.

Thanks,
Bas
