For most packages, you can simply install gcc-4.4 and g++-4.4 (from unstable) and then run: CC=gcc-4.4 CXX=g++-4.4 dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot Unfortunately, Fox doesn't honour $CC and $CXX, so what I did was to change /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++ to point to gcc-4.4/g++-4.4 rather than gcc-4.3/g++-4.4. -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
