Hi Chen-Tse,

Thank you for taking care about maintaining the package. We are really
eager to see this bug fixed, and would prefer if you could take care
about it, or provide reasons why it cannot/shouldnot be done (ie patch
reverted); but I don't see upstream changes which could provide such
functionality.

Since snapshots.debian.net has no post 2.85.0-1 version of libsvm
sources, I do not have a complete copy of the patch (the one Michael has
mentioned seems to be the minimal one needed for exposing functionality
within python); but I guess you had it under debian/patches in the
previous versions. Are there any problems using this patch with
2.89?

Please let us know if you need any help -- we would be glad to assist
you! or if you feel that maintainership of libsvm is too much of a
burden, I could take over from you if you like.

If there is no reply in a reasonable time-range, I guess we would need
to proceed with NMU with a patch filtered out from the .diff of
2.85.

Thank you in advance!
Yarik
