Package: dnscache-run Version: 1:1.05-6 Severity: important
"dpkg-reconfigure dnscache-run" fails. --First: /var/lib/dpkg/info/dnscache-run.postinst: line 14: sv: command not found It looks like line 14, sv -v term dnscache || : should perhaps be something like svc -t dnscache || : ? Or perhaps there is a dependency failure? Note that the " || : " makes the command succeed, but it still produces an error message and fails to restart dnscache. Is it OK that that command doesn't fail? --Second: The script gets the package's version number in $2 (line 19), and therefore it exits without updating /etc/resolv.conf. --Third (probably outside the scope of this bug, but I don't know where the problem is; please forgive and refile?): With resolvconf 1.43, dnscache-run fails to update /etc/resolv.conf with current versions of stuff listed below. Cut-and-paste bug from above? -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dnscache-run depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii daemontools 1:0.76-3 a collection of tools for managing ii daemontools-run 1:0.76-3 daemontools service supervision ii djbdns 1:1.05-6 a collection of Domain Name System dnscache-run recommends no packages. dnscache-run suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
