My policy is not to produce shared libraries if upstream does not provide shared libraries. Since Henry hasn't declared FTGL to be finished (there are a few things that need fixing or implementing) there's no shared library. > Further more, the current practice, of using a PIC static lib, is > suboptimal for those packages willing to use the static version (PIC > is slower). I can fix that, but I'm going to break gem and vtk (blender, too, perhaps). With the next upload I'll add a libftgl_pic.a which you guys have to use if you are building shared libraries. Yann, BTW, is there a reason why tulip embeds FTGL's source? Marcelo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
