Is the speed gain with -fPIC really woth the effort ? AFAIUI, it matters on architectures that I don't really have access to (I mean interactive access, I don't care about millisecond differences in this case, which exist even on i386) The non-standard name is the name used by the X packages, so I'm just following lead here. If you guys settle on something I'll be happy to implement it in the package. I use FTGL in my own projects, which means that I'll notice if performance goes down because of a particular change. -- Marcelo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
