Package: ampache
Version: 3.4.1-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

modules/flash is not mentioned at all in debian/copyright despite being a
different work than ampache. Not to mention that the xspf_jukebox.swf file
lacks its source code.

While trying to corroborate the copyright and license information I found the
following:

Although modules/flash/LICENSE claims it is work "Copyright (c) 2007, Lacy
Morrow" and released under a BSD-like license, but from xspf_jukebox's
upstream source code there is a Copying.txt file containing the GNU GPL v3
licence text which makes it a bit more interesting.
And since xspf_jukebox is a fork of the xspf music player (musicplayer.sf.net)
it is violating the original licence terms by not retaining the copyright
notice.

Could you please clarify and document the situation?

Cheers,
