I tried it on two computers both running a Debian testing/unstable mixture, and on a virtual machine with unstable only. All three show this problem. I also tried with a new account with an empty home directory, and with a different gtk engine (I normally use the xfce engine), but the problem stays. (On another system with ubuntu, there is no such problem.) I tried to figure out where in the inkscape code the limits for these "sliders" are set, but I did not find it. If you know the right place, I could more easily try to find out what goes wrong.
