Dear inkscape maintainers/packagers, the color sliders in the "Fill and Stroke" dialog only allow values from 0 to 245. This applies for red, green, blue, and especially for alpha. Therefore the only way to create non-transparent objects is to use the XML editor after each color change. I would expect that this is a typo somewhere, accidentally replacing 255 with 245.
