Hi,
whenever I try to use gnuplot with the jpeg terminal (i.e. "set term
jpeg") the following error message appears:
Could not find/open font when opening font "arial", using
internal non-scalable font
Well, it is very unlikely to find the "arial" font on a Debian system.
However, even if I have the ttf-mscorefonts-installer package
installed which does install the Arial font, this error message
persists. Please note that I have replaced the libgd2-noxpm package
with the libgd2-xpm variant, which claims to have fontconfig support,
so it should at least be able to find an alias for the Arial font
(which is installed on my system in the ttf-liberation package).
