I just upgraded nautilus and this bug is still present. I did notice one thing though:
It only happens if the newly created folder still has the folder name text selected. If you're already clicked elsewhere then it works as expected. So, specific directions to reproduce: 1.) Right-click -> "create folder" 2.) Don't click anywhere else. 3.) Right-click on folder -> "move to trash" 4.) folder is still there until you click somewhere else. Avery
