Package: info Version: 4.13a.dfsg.1-1 Severity: normal I use the standalone info viewer, inside screen. Typing C-s * now causes the screen to flash about a dozen times. I believe it's trying to beep once per character of some error message.
Even more annoying is that this happens for C-s \ (backslash). You can't search for anything that requires an escape sequence without at some point having an invalid regular expression in the buffer. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages info depends on: ii libc6 2.9-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.7+20090314-1 shared libraries for terminal hand info recommends no packages.
