Hmm, I thought that the compiler and optimizations are set via the debian/rules. I'm using a pretty standard sid (except for the experimental kde) and I always thought that the packagers use the same for building the packages. > I'd like to make sure my patch is not the cause of this, so I'd like > you to either confirm the artsd segfault is there if you rebuild a NOT > patched gst-plugins the same you did with the patched one, I'm sorry, but the segfaults gone as soon as I uncomment that line again and rebuilt gst-plugins using the same dpkg-buildpackage-command. So from my point of view: your patch is the cause of the segfault :-( > Either of these would prove my patch 'not guilty', and that would mean > progress in the direction of fixed gstreamer's gstarsdsink and kde's > artsd. I don't think that artsd will ever be fixed, according to a table on amarok's homepage artsd is pretty much unmaintained... Let's hope that the rumours are true that kde will use gstreamer for KDE4 (and drop artsd) :-) Andreas -- Do not sleep in a eucalyptus tree tonight. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
