Amavis can depend on nearly everything since its perl and its customziable.
I even use it with memcache, sqlite and other things. 

Its impossible to take care on every possible dependency. The init script is
a configuration file, so you are free to tweak it as you like with being sure
that the package will not modify it with future upgrades. 

I don't see any option to fix your bug, so I will tag this bug as wont fix.
You are of course free to send a patch (and we are, of course, free to
discuss it with you :)).
