some background: i had an old gallery1.x configuration file laying around which i purged as part of my dist-upgrade, which cased a configuration error in apache where i had hardcoded an include somewhere. i don't think that gallery 2 should fail to install if apache doesn't properly restart. instead it should perhaps print a warning and finish the installation.
