In my experience, buggy translations often lay unnoticed for quite a long time. I don't think maintainers should be in the position of having to choose between different translations from multiple translators[1]; that's why we have translation teams. Feel free to commit this if you're comfortable with it - I myself won't do so unless it's at least been submitted for review to the team.
