The problem is that java-wrappers don't use alternatives, for a very simple reason: there is no simple way to know the "capacities" of /usr/bin/java... So I guess it didn't have any effect, did it ;-) ? Running the above command-lines really should work I might provide the support for parsing java alternatives one day, but that day has not come yet... Cheers !
