Hmm, is there also a typo here - what does aptitude search 'i~M' actually do? A quick reading of the documentation in /usr/share/doc/aptitude/html/en/ch02s03.html in the etch version of aptitude (0.4.4-4) seems to imply that the command searches for packages with an "i" in the package name and that are auto-installed. I get a larger list of auto-installed packages using either aptitude search '~i~M' or aptitude search '~M' (both give the same list of packages on my system, though I don't know if the two are always the same). For instance, the package "xfonts-base" (which I have auto-installed) is not listed with 'i~M' but is listed with the other two commands. My guess is that '~i~M' was actually meant. (The version of the release notes that I was reading is for i386, English, and has the date 2009-02-14 at the start.) -- -=- Rjs -=- r...@cs.hut.fi, riku.saikko...@hut.fi -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
