Thanks for your quick reply.
gstreamer0.10-plugins packages installed on my system are:

  $ dpkg -l | grep gstreamer0.10-plugins | cut -b 1-68
  ii  gstreamer0.10-plugins-base           0.10.19-2
  ii  gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly           0.10.8-1

Please note that I have the latter installed on my system, just because
of swfdec-mozilla:

  $ aptitude why gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
  i   swfdec-mozilla  Depends    libswfdec-0.8-0
  i A libswfdec-0.8-0 Recommends gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly

I saw the same YouTube videos a while ago with swfdec-mozilla/0.6.0-5.
I didn't have different gstreamer plugins packages installed.
Audio used to work fine.
Hence, I would be surprised to learn that the new swfdec-mozilla/0.8.2-1
needs gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad in order to play the audio of those
same YouTube videos...

Anyway, if swfdec-mozilla now needs (or is significantly enhanced by)
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, the new libswfdec-0.8-0 package should
recommend it.

As an aside, bad and ugly gstreamer plugins are not non-free at all,
otherwise their inclusion in main would be a serious bug!
If you are being misled by the "distribution problems" currently
mentioned in the gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly package description, please
see bug #496556 ...
