Package: empathy Version: 0.23.3-3 Severity: wishlist It would be nice if empathy (or rather telepathy I guess) worked with a socks program like tsocks, so you can still use jabber/xmpp in firewalled environments over a transparent SSH socks proxy (ssh -D <portnumber>, configure tsocks to connect to localhost with that portnumber).
Hate to say it, but it just works with gossip. Please reassign as appropriate, I am no specialist on telepathy internals. Michael PS: btw, can you use jabber.org on a HTML port? If so, can you configure empathy to do so via an http proxy? That would work as well I guess. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
