1. run mplayer, playing some video, with parameter "-vf screenshot" or
"vf=screenshot" in ~/.mplayer/config
2. see the following lines:

|Opening video filter: [screenshot]
|Could not open libavcodec PNG encoder
|Couldn't open video filter 'screenshot'.

I think this is rather some unlucky libavcodec build configuration
(libavcodec built without PNG encoder, maybe) than a real bug in mplayer.
