Wolfi, if this makes sense to you, you can simply ask for the alioth project via their ticket system and add people as you see fit. Searching for Alioth on wiki.debian.org yields all the necessary information (sorry for being lazy, but I'm using GPRS which makes looking up links quiet slow). This way you guys could keep all the work on extensions, etc. on a separate branch and upload stuff to experimental easily.
