I just tried this with GNOME Terminal 2.22.3 under the GNOME / X Window System environment. I got the same results. This is not a problem which is specific to the PuTTY terminal emulation program. Nor is this a problem with the platform on which c3270 runs. In my PuTTY test environment, c3270 was running on the s390 platform. In the GNOME Terminal environment, c3270 was running on the i386 platform.
I also notice the problem when switching from command-prompt mode to session mode (by pressing Enter). Upon resuming session mode, if the cursor is in an input field and the first keystroke is an arrow key, I get the garbage characters. In this case, it doesn't seem to matter whether session mode is in 24x80 mode or 27x132 mode. Upon resuming session mode from command-prompt mode, I get the garbage characters if the cursor is in an unprotected field and the first key pressed is an arrow key, no matter what screen size is in effect for session mode. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
