Lasts updates include knetworkmanager, Kernel, etc... >> But after installation, I see in boot time that firmware is try to be >> loaded from /lib/modules/b43, but b43-fwcutter create in >> /lib/modules/b43legacy, so I create a symbolic link to it. > > Moep. But put in wrong place. Kernel try load firmware from b43 directory and not from b43legacy. >> OK, I go to linuxwireless.org, but is still impossible use my wireless >> device. > > b43-fwcutter != b43 fwiw, b43-fwcuttter is simply the tool to extract the > firmware, the driver itself is in the kernel. When you install b43-fwcutter, you is asked if you want download firmware. If you accept, you can't use it, because Kernel (or something like this) try load it from b43 directory. If you move firmwares from b43legacy to b43 directory, you receive a error message "TOO OLD FIRMWARE". >> Anyone have some idea about what is happening? > No. > This ia a non-bug and a user error (see above wrt the symlink) in any case. User error? Wooowww. - If I install b43-fwcutter in "standard way", I can't use it (firmware not found) - If I install b43-fwcutter and move firmwares to b43 directory, I receive a message that firmware is TOO OLD. - If I remove b43-fwcutter, all firmwares and install mannualy from linuxwireless.org, driver and firmwares are loaded perfectly, but I can't connect in wireless network.
