Package: console-data Version: 2:1.01-7 When typing texts at tty terminal or in a text-based program in terminal, such as nano or vi, with caps lock actived, if Brazilian ABNT2 keyboard layout is selected, some characters, such as e, m, r, c, ç... are written in lower case.
This doesn't affects X.Org. A solution is change keyboard layout to Brazilian-Latin1 or Portuguese Standard, but in this case, some special keys, such as ç, ^, ~; and othes stay discunfigured. The Ç character is showed in lower case in Brazilian Latin1 and Portuguese Standard Layouts. This bug affecsts Debian 4 (etch) and Debian 5 (Lenny). I think what this should be fixed in this default layout. I'm using Debian 4.0 with Linux kernel 2.6.18
